Viv White
Director
Former National Coordinator of the Australian National Schools Network, Viv White is currently acting in the position of National Coach at the ANSN. With more than thirty years experience in both the education and policy-making sector, Viv is renowned for her innovative thinking and challenging perspectives.
Margaret Vickers
Director
Project Leader - Refugee Project, GaIT
Margaret Vickers is Professor of Education at the University of Western Sydney where she is Director of Research and Research Degrees. From 2001 to 2003, she directed the Secondary Teacher Education program. Her work focuses on the effects of curriculum policy on educational outcomes, and on the transition from school to work and further study.
Craig Tyeson
Director
Craig Tyeson became a Director of the ANSN Board in January 2004. He has had a long association with the Network beginning in 1993 when he taught at Beaconsfield Primary School in Tasmania and became involved in the ANSN's research project entitled Longitudinal Study on Restructuring.
Kevin O'Keefe
Director
Kevin has taught in a range of country high schools as a teacher, head of department, deputy principal and principal. He has been a principal since 1996. Kevin has always had an interest in the conjunction of industrial and professional concerns and has held a position on the State School Teachers' Union of WA executive for 10 years.
Sue French
Director
Sue French is currently principal of Kaleen High School in the ACT. Sue and her school are actively involved in the ANSN's National Habits of Mind Research Circle Project. Her long association with the Australian National Schools Network began in 1993 at the first National Schools Project âsummer school in Canberra.
Pat Byrne
Director
Pat Byrne Pat Byrne is currently the Federal President of the Australian Education Union, a position she has held since May, 2003.
Sharan Burrow
Director
Sharan Burrow Sharan Burrow is a Director of the ANSN Board. She was instrumental in the formation of the National Schools Network in 1993 and has demonstrated keen commitment to the principles and ideas of the Network since then.
