Margaret Vickers is Professor of Education at the University of Western Sydney where she is Director of Research and Research Degrees. From 2001 to 2003, she directed the Secondary Teacher Education program. Her work focuses on the effects of curriculum policy on educational outcomes, and on the transition from school to work and further study.

Margaret's career has included several years as a high school teacher, research work in the USA, senior appointments in the Australian Public Service and the Paris-based OECD.

Margaret has been a Director of the ANSN Board since 2001.
