Rethinking School
Schools need to develop and evolve to meet the learning needs and
interests of their students. The world in which our young folk are
growing up is changing and changing fast. A school community that is
developing will be reviewing aspects of its focus and ways of working,
exploring and researching new ideas and implementing new teaching
practices that have been shown to be effective.
Doing this work is neither quick nor easy, and will not go to formula. As the context changes so will our goals and roles. It helps for schools to seek support for this work - the external support of a critical friend, consultant and or coach; connection to a network; sensible and appropriate timelines for change; and processes and a framework for moving beyond a 'trial' through to implementation and then to ensuring it becomes an integral feature of the school.
The ANSN can provide such support.
The attached flyers outline five different ways to engage with the ANSN in doing this work.
1. Reviewing, rethinking, redesigning your school
We have an opportunity for those who want to seriously engage in reviewing, rethinking and redesigning their school. Our approach helps the school to create their own design.

2. School Development
For those who want some support in developing their school to become more effective, evolved, aligned and mature.

3. School Consulting
For those who want some help in clarifying their work, and occasional support from a critical friend, consultant and/or coach.

4. For a system of education
For those in systems who would like to engage with the ANSN and BPE with a small group of schools and go beyond the old solutions of whole of system specific strategies to engaging schools and their communities. In this way the ANSN can support systems to grow the work and scale up the innovations.
