Team/Small-Group is a particular form of school organisation designed to meet the needs of students in the middle years. Originating in Germany, the model has been adopted in various forms by a number of Australian schools.

Students acquire important social skills such as cooperation and teamwork, relating to and valuing others, and the ability to resolve conflicts. The benefits of Team/Small-Group also accrue for teachers through improved working relationships with students and a much smaller student load. Teacher teaming leads to greater collaboration and collegiality and an improved learning environment for all students.
